We are looking for an Executive (Costing & Drafting) to support our M&E tendering and project operations.
This is a combined role covering both M&E drafting and costing / quantity take-off. The candidate should be able to understand drawings, prepare practical M&E drawings, extract quantities accurately and assist in preparing project costing and quotations.
Prepare and revise M&E drawings using AutoCAD.
Prepare:
Shop drawings
Coordination drawings
Installation drawings
Layout drawings
Schematic drawings
Single-line diagrams
Detail drawings
As-built drawings
Update drawings based on site conditions, project revisions and consultant comments.
Coordinate M&E drawings with architectural, structural and other services.
Identify clashes, discrepancies, missing information and drawing inconsistencies.
Assist engineers and project teams with drawings required for submission and site execution.
Carry out site measurement and verification when required.
Maintain proper drawing revision and document records.
Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQ and project requirements.
Carry out detailed quantity take-off for M&E works.
Prepare measurable and structured costing based on actual project scope.
Prepare BOQ, material schedules and cost breakdowns.
Assist in preparing quotations, tender submissions and revised quotations.
Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Check quotations against required quantities, specifications and scope.
Identify missing items, exclusions, discrepancies and potential cost impact.
Assist in preparing costing for variations and additional works.
Update quantities and costing when drawings or project requirements change.
Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, suppliers and subcontractors.
Support material planning and procurement preparation.
Assist in preparation of RFQs and technical submissions.
Verify site conditions where necessary before finalising drawings or quantities.
Support project teams with drawing, quantity and costing information.
Maintain proper project, tender and costing documentation.
The candidate may be required to work on:
ACMV systems
Electrical systems
Fire Protection systems
ELV / BMS systems
M&E coordination works
Associated builder's works and service routing
Diploma / Degree / Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying, Drafting or related discipline.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Able to read and understand M&E, architectural and structural drawings.
Able to carry out quantity take-off accurately.
Basic understanding of M&E construction and installation works.
Able to prepare organised BOQ and costing worksheets.
Relevant experience with an M&E contractor or construction company will be an advantage.
Fresh graduates with suitable technical knowledge, AutoCAD skills and willingness to learn may also be considered.

This is a combined M&E Costing and Drafting role.
The successful candidate is expected to develop competence in both areas and understand the relationship between:
Drawing → Quantity → Material → Labour → Cost → Actual Site Installation
The objective is to support AEPL in preparing accurate drawings, quantities and costing for both tendering and project execution.
