Role Overview: The incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all social media handles and online community initiatives. This role will focus on driving engagement, sparking conversations, and building a strong, active community among a Gen Z audience (1825 years). The incumbent will also track national and global competitors to identify trends, insights, and best practices, bringing fresh, innovative thinking to strengthen the brand's social media presence.
Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Social Media Management & Execution
- Assist in managing content across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
- Ensure consistent posting as per the content calendar.
- Support campaign launches and always-on content initiatives.
Community & Engagement
- Create engaging content ideas aligned with Gen Z culture.
- Engage with users via comments, messages, mentions, and conversations.
- Help build and nurture an active online community.
Trend & Competition Tracking
- Track national and global competitor brands in EdTech and D2C.
- Monitor trends, memes, formats, and platform updates.
- Share insights and ideas to keep the brand culturally relevant.
Innovation & Ideation
- Contribute fresh content and format ideas.
- Participate in brainstorming for campaigns and topical content.
- Experiment with new storytelling and engagement approaches.
Performance Tracking & Collaboration
- Track metrics such as reach, engagement, and follower growth.
- Assist in preparing performance summaries and insights.
- Work closely with design, content, and brand teams.
- Ensure consistency in messaging and timely execution.
Skill and Ability Requirements
- Experience in EdTech, D2C, or consumer internet brands preferred.
- Strong understanding of Gen Z audiences.
- Good copywriting and communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media analytic tools and performance.
- Hands-on experience, can createcampaigns, brain storm and drive social tasks.
Qualification & Experience
Experience
- 23 years of experience in social media management.
Qualification
- MBA in Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism, or a related degree.
Open to candidates from any other discipline if they bring strong social-first work and proof of execution.
