Job Description

  • To supervise, manage and coordinate Operation & Maintenance activities of Shift Production team, team including compliance with all safety requirements and Company procedures, for LSWRO Plant at Offshore (NWIS-R Platform).
  • Good Understanding of LSWRO Processes, operation philosophy, equipment line-up, logic set- ups, and its control.
  • Good understanding of safe handling / operation of LSWRO Plant, with associated rotary and static equipment such as Electric Hoists, Pumps, Motors, Filters, Tanks, Mixer, Analyzer, Piping Manifolds, UF & RO Skids, PX Module, Control Panels (UCP / LCP), DCS, RTU, Various Instrument, remote operations and their control.
  • Good understanding of prescribed reporting / communication protocol
  • Good understanding of operation of maintenance workshop, with equipment such as Welding Machine, Drilling Machine, Lathe Machine, High Pressure Jet Machine, Hydraulic Pressure Equipment, Air Compressor, Universal Machine, Greasing Machine, Material Handling Equipment, Mechanical & Electrical Hand Tools etc.
  • Good understanding of plant layout / battery limits
  • Ability to read, understand and explain Technical Specifications of Materials (Bulk, Loose & Tagged), various Equipment and Engineering Drawings (like GADs, Layouts, SLDs, P&IDs, Shop Drawings) etc.
  • Monitoring of process parameters (pressure, flow, level, temperature, pressure etc.) and control the LSWRO unit operation to get required quality output, ensuring compliance with target production quantities.
  • Supervision of overall operation, maintenance, cleaning, greasing of all equipment and replacement of spare on time for optimum production, while maintaining operational Integrity
  • Supervision of material handling, storage of tools & tackles, chemicals, consumable, spares, and other related items.
  • Demonstration of job knowledge and skill essential for executing assigned job effectively
  • Should be able to carry out and assist in problem solving / troubleshooting in the field.
  • Should have basic knowledge of documentation and record keeping.
  • Should remain on-call during off-duty hours, as requested, to provide off-hour coverage for facilities.
  • Should have required Software Skills: PC / Laptop Operation, MS Office Package (Word, Excel, Power Point etc), PDF (Read & Write - Comments), Email System (Outlook) etc.
  • . HSE Knowledge
    • Knowledge / understanding of LTHE / Client's HSE Policies & Objectives
    • Knowledge of basic safety rules for working in Oil & Gas industry
    • Knowledge about emergency actions, process control requirement and facilities (location of F&G alarm, assembly point, emergency telephone number, escape route etc.) and plant emergency procedures and ability to communicate these to the team members
    • Knowledge of various PPEs required for operation / maintenance activity at Offshores
    • Basic knowledge of about assessment of risks, process safety hazards and Job Safety Analysis and ability to implement control measures.
    • Knowledge of conducting toolbox talk about Maintenance related hazards and precautions to be taken during such activities.

    • Basic awareness on the types of tools and portable electrical / mechanical equipment that can be used in hazardous area.
    • Responsibilities (Operation):

      • Prepare DPR (Daily Progress Report) for ONGC Site / Base & LTHE Powai Office.
      • Provide Input for Annual / Monthly / Weekly / Daily Planning.
      • Daily Record Keeping & Database Management of Consumables, Spare Parts, Running Items (Belts, Gaskets, Oil Seals etc), Engineering Documents, Notices, HSE Plan, QAP, Logbooks (Individual Equipment, Machineries, Offshore Stored Items) etc.
      • Prepare Sketch/Drawing for technical explanation, troubleshooting, mitigation plan etc.
      • Conduct Laboratory Field Tests of Raw Water, Treated Water Samples, Chemicals etc.
      • Prepare Material Indents for Consumables, Spare Parts, Other Items etc.
      • Interface with ONGC Representatives, Other Agencies at Offshore Site.
      • Participate in Daily Meetings with ONGC Site Team and Onshore Base / Powai Office.
      • Maintain safe work environment and proper housekeeping
      • Adhere to Offshore Safety & Quality requirements of Client, ensuring that environmental targets are met or exceeded.
      • Implement Shift production reporting, isolation, upkeep of records and logbooks and effective handover of information to following shift.

      Responsibilities (Maintenance):

      A) Predictive / Preventive Maintenance:

      1. Visual inspection of the equipment

      2. Physical checking of all equipment / tubing, piping, cabling, cable joints, junction boxes, valves etc.

      3. Cleaning, greasing, oiling, dusting

      4. Electrical contact checking,

      5. Continuity/Insulation / Earthing Testing

      6. Chipping, Painting as per requirement within the battery limit and all the related components as per Standard Code.

      B) Planned Maintenance (PM):

      1.Rectifying faults, making the system operational in all respects.

      2. Proper setting of voltages, current & alarm conditions wherever required.

      3. Tuning / Alignment / Calibration

      4. Tightening, refitting etc.

      5. Corrective maintenance to make the equipment / system fully operational, including replacement of faulty components/modules etc.

      C) Breakdown Maintenance (BM):

      1. Fault finding and repairing of any of the defective equipment with minimum down time.

      2. Breakdown maintenance for restoration of full functionality of the systems.

      3. Making non-functional system functional by repair / replacement of components or faulty parts.

      4. Replacement of faulty components / sub-assembly.
