Role Overview
We are building a SWAT team of Executive Analysts as part of the Founder's Office, who will work as individual contributors, while collaborating with stakeholders, on any and all challenges, whether operational, tactical or strategic, that take up executive bandwidth across marketing, sales, tech, finance, HR, and beyond. Your role will not be tied to one function — you will find and solve problems and enhance systems and processes to convert entropy into auto-pilot wherever patterns look repeatable.
You might simultaneously be working on diagnosing performance gaps in a strategic client engagement, building innovative new solutions and its GTM, shaping a sales narrative, prioritizing a product decision, or resolving an HR or finance issue.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and solve across functions
- Pull apart campaign performance, margins, unit economics, and revenue health — get to the root cause, not just the symptom.
- Identify pricing misalignment and revenue leakage; trace what's being lost, under-billed, or unrecognized.
- Stress-test the numbers leadership relies on and define what good, trustworthy reporting looks like.
- Protect and grow accounts
- Spot early warning signs in client accounts before they become retention risks; diagnose the cause and put a fix in motion.
- Size upsell and cross-sell opportunities and build a clear, compelling case to pursue them.
- Position YOptima as a strategic partner by shaping client growth strategy through our solutions.
- Support sales and revenue
- Build the decks, models, and narratives that help close deals or expand accounts.
- Surface pricing misalignment or unrealized revenue and recommend corrective action.
- Own cross-functional problem solving
- Build enough domain fluency in any function — Finance, Product, HR, Sales — to ask the right questions fast and propose concrete fixes.
- Translate analysis into decisions: clear recommendations, sized impact, and a path to action — not just charts.
- Use AI to move faster — with judgment
- Leverage AI tools aggressively for data exploration, synthesis, drafting, and hypothesis generation.
- Validate every output; never ship a conclusion you can't defend from first principles.
- Automate repeatable workflows over time so your energy stays on the hardest, newest problems.
Who You Are
- You thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and bring rigor, judgment, and enthusiasm to every challenge.
- Analytically strong: first-principles thinker, fluent with numbers, unit economics, and quantitative reasoning — you naturally reach for data when forming a view.
- Genuinely smart and fast: you pick up new domains quickly, ask sharp questions, and get to the heart of a problem without needing hand-holding.
- High-energy and enthusiastic: you bring real drive to everything you touch, push things forward, and care about outcomes — not just tasks.
- A natural generalist: you don't need a fixed lane — marketing, sales, product, finance — you build fluency wherever it's needed, fast.
- Background in Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, or a similarly rigorous discipline.
- 3–5 years in business analysis, strategy & operations, consulting, or an analytically intensive role with real end-to-end ownership.
- AI-native: you use AI tools fluently and know how to verify their output rather than ship it blindly.
- Strong with spreadsheets; comfortable querying data independently (SQL or similar).
