Description:
We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to design, implement, manage, and optimize database infrastructure. The candidate should have strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server environments including SSIS, SSRS and SSAS, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and data security.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot database issues, and perform performance tuning and optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Manage database security, roles, and permissions to ensure data protection and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
- Perform regular health checks, capacity planning, and maintenance tasks such as index optimization and statistics updates.
- Design and deploy high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies (e.g., AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, Mirroring, Replication, or Clustering).
- Collaborate with developers, application vendors and internal teams to design efficient T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies and other database related suggestions and activities.
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, or other scripting tools.
- Keep up to date with new features in SQL Server, Azure SQL, and related technologies.
- Document database environments, configurations, and operational procedures, Prepare and maintain SOPs.
- Manage and troubleshot SSRS, SSIS and SSAS configurations and jobs.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
- Expertise in SQL Server versions 2014/2016/2019/2022 on different editions.
- Strong understanding of database architecture, indexing, and query optimization.
- Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and performance tuning.
- Experience with AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Replication, Clustering, and Backup/Restore strategies.
- Familiarity with Azure SQL Database
- Hands-on experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
