• Operate a 20-tonne excavator safely and efficiently.
n
• Undertake cargo handling and material movement activities as directed.
n
• Conduct pre-start inspections and identify equipment defects.
n
• Work safely within confined operating areas onboard the vessel.
n
• Comply with all safety, environmental and operational procedures.
n
• Maintain accurate operational records as required.
n
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members.
n
• Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.

Essential:u2022 Demonstrated experience operating excavators (20-tonne or similar).u2022 Current excavator ticket/licence and relevant competencies.u2022 Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.u2022 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.u2022 Excellent communication skills.u2022 Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts.Desirable:u2022 Experience operating machinery in confined environments.u2022 Previous marine, port, mining or bulk cargo handling experience.u2022 Current driver licence.u2022 Additional machinery licences/tickets.
