Ex-Indian Navy Sailors/ Ex-Servicemen

Looking for retired Ex-Servicemen / Ex-Indian Navy Sailors with strong technical experience in ship and submarine engineering/electrical systems to support the Project Facilitation Team at Mumbai.

The role requires technically experienced personnel who can support ship/submarine visits, technical data collection, drawing review and preparation of technical details/SOTRs for indigenous development and procurement.

Position - PROJECT FACILITATION TEAM – EX-SERVICEMAN (SAILOR)

Location: Mumbai

Type of Engagement : Sub-Contract

Duration: 2 Years

Key Responsibilities

• Visit ships and submarines regularly for collection of technical data, equipment details and drawings.
• Support preparation and compilation of SOTR (Statement of Technical Requirements) and technical specifications/details.
• Coordinate with relevant technical teams, OEMs and representatives for indigenisation-related activities.
• Study and interpret engineering/electrical system drawings, equipment specifications and technical documents.
• Provide technical inputs based on practical onboard experience.
• Support identification and documentation of equipment/spares required for indigenisation.
• Coordinate with ship/submarine personnel and stakeholders for technical information and clarification.
• Maintain accurate technical records and documentation.

Eligibility

• Ex-Serviceman / Retired Ex-Indian Navy Sailor.
• Minimum 10th / 12th Pass, as applicable.
• 15+ years of relevant service experience.
• Medically fit and capable of regular ship/submarine visits.
• Hands-on experience working onboard Indian Navy ships and/or submarines.
• Strong practical knowledge of Engineering / Electrical systems and equipment onboard ships/submarines.
• Ability to understand technical drawings, equipment details and specifications.
• Good communication, coordination and documentation skills.

Preferred Technical Background

Candidates with experience in ship/submarine Engineering and/or Electrical systems, including equipment operation, maintenance, inspection, technical documentation and onboard coordination, will be preferred.

Ideal Candidate: Retired Navy Sailors with substantial onboard technical experience who can effectively translate practical ship/submarine experience into technical inputs for indigenization, SOTR preparation and equipment/spares developement.
