EWM Functional Consultant

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities :

Work closely with customer business and project teams to understand requirements, map them to SAP S/4HANA EWM processes, and design suitable solutions across Embedded, Private Cloud, and Public Cloud deployment models. Configure and implement end-to-end warehouse processes, prepare functional specifications and documentation, and support integration, testing, data migration, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live activities.

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field.

2. SAP EWM Public cloud certification /Rollout experience is an added advantage

Experience :

1. 10-15 yearsof overall SAP experience, with strong specialization inSAP EWM / Warehouse Management.

2. Minimum8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP EWM functional consulting, covering end-to-end warehouse processes such as inbound, outbound, internal movements, physical inventory, handling units, replenishment, picking, packing, staging, and RF/mobile processes.

3. At least2 full-cycle EWM implementationsacrossEmbedded EWM, Decentralized EWM and/or S/4HANA Cloud deployment models, including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, cutover, and go-live.

4. Strong experience inSAP EWM configuration, including warehouse structure, storage types, process types, activity areas, determination strategies, queues, warehouse orders/tasks, RF processes, handling units, wave management, and physical inventory.

5. Strong understanding ofEWM integration with MM, SD, PP and QM, including integration with production, quality, procurement, sales, delivery, and inventory processes.

6. Experience inintegration with external systems, including TMS, MES, WMS/3PL, conveyor/automation systems, and other warehouse technologies ability to work with technical and integration teams to define end-to-end solutions.

7. Proven experience inRF/mobile process design and optimization, including understanding operational requirements and improving warehouse user experience.

8. Experience indata migration, master/stock data validation, testing, cutover planning, go-live and hypercare, including preparation and execution of functional test scenarios.

9. Proven ability tolead functional workstreams, conduct requirement-gathering workshops, prepare functional specifications, manage stakeholders, resolve complex functional issues, and mentor junior consultants.

10. Strong experience inpost-go-live support and continuous improvement, including root-cause analysis, process optimization, and implementation of new business requirements.

11. Good understanding ofSAP S/4HANA deployment models-Embedded and Public Cloud, including their functional capabilities, limitations, configuration approaches, and extensibility concepts.

12. Exposure toSAP BTP, embedded AI, Generative AI and intelligent automationfor warehouse and supply-chain scenarios would be an added advantage.

Mandatory/requires Skills :

• Strong knowledge ofSAP S/4HANA Warehouse Management and end-to-end warehouse processes, including inbound, outbound, internal warehouse movements, physical inventory, handling units, and RF/mobile processes across Embedded and Public Cloud environments.

• Hands-on experience inSAP EWM configuration and implementation, including integration with MM, SD and other logistics processes, data migration, testing, deployment, and business process optimization. Knowledge of integration withProduction Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM)processes is an added advantage.

• Good understanding ofSAP S/4HANA deployment models, including Embedded EWM in On-Premise/Private Cloud and Public Cloud, with the ability to assess functional requirements, identify solution options, and understand relevant capabilities, constraints, and extensibility approaches.

• Ability to analyzefunctional requirements and design end-to-end warehouse solutions, working effectively with technical, integration, and development teams for forms, labels, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and other required extensions.

• Strong knowledge ofmobile and RF integration, including the ability to design and optimize RF processes, screen flows, and layouts to meet warehouse operational requirements and provide an effective user experience.

• Ability to understand and designintegration between SAP S/4HANA and third-party/3PL warehouse systems, collaborating with integration and technical teams to establish appropriate end-to-end integration solutions.

• Good knowledge ofSAP Cloud ALM and/or SAP testing methodologies, with the ability to derive business and functional test cases, execute testing, record results, support defect management, and contribute to end-to-end testing activities.

• Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct requirement-gathering workshops, understand customer business processes, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and independently lead functional topics.

• Good understanding ofGenerative AI capabilitiesand the ability to identify relevant AI use cases and demonstrate potential solutions based on customer and business requirements.

• Knowledge ofSAP S/4HANA Embedded AI capabilities and intelligent automation scenariosrelevant to warehouse and supply chain processes.

• Understanding ofSAP BTP and extensibility concepts, including side-by-side extensibility, integration services, and the integration of BTP-based applications and services with SAP S/4HANA.

• Ability to identify and evaluate business use cases forGenerative AI, embedded AI, intelligent automation, and process optimization, and collaborate with functional and technical teams to design scalable and extensible warehouse solutions.
