Report to: Medha Trivedi.
Department: Marketing.
Organization: Airpay Payment Services Pvt. Ltd (https://www.airpay.co.in/)
Location: Navi Mumbai.
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive, relationship-driven Events & Partnerships Manager to lead airpay's event presence and strategic collaborations across the fintech and payments ecosystem. You will identify and evaluate high-value event and sponsorship opportunities, represent airpay on ground at industry events, and build partnerships that extend our reach with merchants, banks, and technology allies. You'll be hands-on across strategy, vendor and stakeholder management, on-site execution, and post-event reporting — ensuring every activation reinforces airpay's position as a full-stack payments infrastructure leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning
- Identify and evaluate event, conference, and sponsorship opportunities relevant to B2B verticals.
- Travel to and attend events under consideration for airpay sponsorship to validate fit, audience quality, and ROI potential before commitment.
- Identify collaboration and co-marketing opportunities with industry bodies, banks, fintech associations, and technology partners.
- Build a rolling calendar of events and partnership opportunities aligned to airpay's business priorities and seasonal campaigns.
- Partnership Development
- Source, pitch, and negotiate partnerships and sponsorships that expand airpay's visibility with merchants, banks, and channel partners.
- Manage relationships with industry associations, event organisers, media partners, and co-sponsors.
- Coordinate with the partnerships and business teams to align event/partnership plans with pipeline and revenue goals.
- Event Execution & Operations
- Own end-to-end execution of airpay-hosted and airpay-sponsored events — from planning and vendor coordination through on-ground delivery.
- Manage logistics including venue, travel, branding/collateral, standees, giveaways, and on-site staffing.
- Coordinate speaker/panel participation, fireside chats, and masterclasses featuring airpay leadership.
- Liaise with design, content, and product marketing teams to ensure event collateral and messaging are on-brand and shoot-ready in time.
- Budget, Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage event budgets, vendor contracts, and negotiations to maximise ROI on sponsorship and hosting spend.
- Track and report on event performance — leads generated, engagement, brand visibility, and partnership outcomes — to leadership.
- Maintain a repository of past events, partners, and learnings to inform future planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in event marketing, partnerships, or sponsorships (experience within consumer tech, fintech, or a fast-moving environment strongly preferred).
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including on short notice, for event scouting and execution.
Skills And Experience
- Proven track record of planning and executing B2B events, conferences, or sponsorship activations end-to-end.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with experience managing vendors, sponsors, and industry partners.
- Sound commercial judgement to assess event/partnership opportunities against cost, audience fit, and expected ROI.
- Excellent project management skills — able to juggle multiple events and partnership conversations in parallel against tight timelines.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with content, design, product marketing, and sales teams to align messaging and collateral.
- Working knowledge of the payments/fintech ecosystem (payment aggregators, banks, merchant acquiring) is a strong plus.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including comfort briefing senior stakeholders and representing airpay externally.
- Proficiency with budgeting, event-management, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel/Sheets, project trackers).
Travel Requirement
- Regular domestic and occasional international travel
