Role Description The Event Services Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences in Gurugram. This position coordinates the planning and execution of events, including conferences, weddings, corporate meetings, and social functions, ensuring a seamless experience from initial inquiry to event completion. Key responsibilities include liaising with clients to understand requirements, preparing event proposals, coordinating with banquet, kitchen, front office, and technical teams, and overseeing event setups and breakdowns. The role manages event timelines, tracks changes, supports on-site client needs during events, and helps resolve any service issues promptly. The Event Services Specialist also collaborates with sales and marketing to optimize event revenues, maintains accurate documentation, and upholds the hotel's service standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication, with the ability to build positive relationships and manage client expectations.
  • Proficiency in Event Planning and Event Management, including coordinating logistics, vendors, setups, and on-site execution.
  • Basic to intermediate Sales skills, with the ability to support event sales, upsell services, and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and capability to handle multiple events concurrently.
  • Prior experience in hospitality, events, or a similar guest-focused environment is highly desirable.
  • Comfort with using standard office and event-management tools (e.g., MS Office, scheduling and CRM systems).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field is an advantage.
