Role Description

At Aiwa Events, we take a unique approach to sponsorship. We view our sponsors as essential partners, recognizing that their contributions extend far beyond financial support. In return, we offer them tangible benefits that go beyond mere logo placement.

Our Senior Sponsorships Manager is responsible for crafting strategic partnership packages, research and generate new leads for potential sponsors, foster relationships with potential partners, negotiate and secure deals, and deliver on the promises we make.

This includes managing all aspects of sponsorship, including cash sponsorships, value-in-kind partnerships, marketing collaborations, and other partnerships that enhance the value of our events.

Specifically, the Senior Partnerships Manager will be expected to:

Develop innovative sponsorship packages that deliver tangible benefits to partners and event attendees

Craft tailored partnerships for key sponsors, ensuring ROI and engagement across multiple events

Track partnership progress, set KPIs, and ensure goals are met

Identify new opportunities and revenue streams to grow the partnerships team

Streamline workflows and processes for seamless project delivery

Research and network to discover new partners

Build and maintain a partner database for targeted prospecting

Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to close

Oversee partnership agreements, ensuring partners receive contracted rights and benefits

Set and meet targets, delivering a premium partner experience

Prioritize tasks to achieve pre-agreed objectives

Collaborate with internal and external teams to exceed partner expectations

Monitor market trends to improve sponsorship activation and identify opportunities

Qualifications

Proven experience in sponsorship, sales, or marketing, with a approx. 3 year background in corporate and consumer events, exhibitions, or brand activations.

Excellent communication skills, with experience leading and coordinating teams from different departments.

Strong customer focus, balancing partner priorities with overall event goals.

Proficient in budget management, contract management, and proposal writing.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to tight deadlines.

Self-motivated and independent worker with excellent presentation and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders

Creative problem-solver who can develop innovative sponsorship packages that stand out in a competitive market.

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for building and maintaining client and partner relationships.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Your application will be stronger if:

  • You have previous sponsorship/sales experience with events, exhibitions
  • Hold 2-3 years experience in events sponsorship sales
