Malloy Events seeks a highly self-motivated production manager to oversee warehouse logistics, installation crews, as well as maintenance of A/V/L rental items. Candidates will also execute event installations. Candidates should be proactive and positive, with an appreciation for details, and a proven ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment. This position has room for growth.
Responsibilities Include
- Coordinate and manage crews for off-site jobs and staff for warehouse
- Manage pre-production and post-production of events
- Train crew as a team and maintain a high level of morale
- Basic knowledge of A/V/L repair
- Maintain and organize warehouse
- Communicate and foster relationships with high-end clientele
- Properly and safely operate hand tools
- Work weekends during peak spring/summer/fall months
- Assist with implementing new systems to streamline jobs, cut costs and create efficiency
- Thoroughly understands and complies with company policy and safety manual
Requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced/high energy environment
- Experience managing staff
- Ability to work in ever-changing situations and use common sense when analyzing and completing each job
- Experience driving a truck with a trailer
- Valid driver's license and a clean DMV record
- Ability to push 100 lbs and lift 50-75 lbs.
- Special Event experience and/or event lighting
- Woodworking experience plus
- Working knowledge of special events through all phases of production
