Event Decrator and Interior Designer

Role Description The Event Decorator and Interior Designer will plan, design, and execute creative concepts for events and interior spaces, aligning with client requirements and brand guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting clients to understand their vision, developing mood boards and layouts, selecting décor elements and materials, and coordinating with vendors and on-site teams for setup and teardown. The role involves managing timelines and budgets, ensuring high-quality finishes, and adjusting designs based on feedback. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring regular presence at client locations, venues, and the EGA Solutions office.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in event decoration, venue styling, and spatial planning for small and large-scale events.
• Proficiency in interior design concepts, including color theory, furniture selection, lighting, and material coordination.
• Ability to create design proposals, mood boards, basic sketches, and presentations to communicate ideas clearly.
• Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills, including sourcing décor items, negotiating costs, and coordinating logistics.
• Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to adapt designs to different themes, budgets, and cultural contexts.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Relevant education in interior design, event management, architecture, or a related field; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
• Comfort working on-site at event venues, with flexibility for evening or weekend work when required.
• Experience in corporate events, weddings, retail or office interiors in Chennai or similar markets is an advantage.
