ZeroFootprint is an EV charging solutions company working across AC chargers, DC fast chargers, charging software, installation, commissioning and service. We are expanding our in-house assembly, testing and technical capabilities in Mumbai.

Role

We are looking for a hands-on EV Charger Assembly & Debugging Engineer with practical experience in assembling, testing, troubleshooting and repairing EV chargers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test AC and DC EV chargers and their electrical/electronic subassemblies.
  • Perform card/PCB-level troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Diagnose faults in power electronics, control boards, SMPS, contactors, relays, protection circuits, wiring and communication interfaces.
  • Perform component-level repair, soldering and PCB rework where required.
  • Troubleshoot charger failures during testing, commissioning and warranty/service.
  • Use multimeter, oscilloscope and other electrical/electronic test equipment for fault diagnosis.
  • Read and understand circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Perform final functional testing and maintain test/repair records.
  • Identify recurring failures and support root-cause analysis and product improvement.
Requirements
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience with EV chargers, power electronics or similar equipment.
  • Strong practical experience in electronics troubleshooting and PCB/card-level debugging.
  • Experience in EV charger assembly, testing and repair.
  • Good understanding of electrical and electronic components.
  • Ability to work independently on fault diagnosis and repair.
  • Diploma / ITI / BE / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechatronics or related field.

Preferred: Experience with DC fast chargers, high-voltage systems, power modules, CAN/RS485, OCPP, SMPS, MOSFET/IGBT circuits and oscilloscope-based debugging.

Important

This is a hands-on technical role. Candidates whose experience is limited to EV charger installation, commissioning or basic field servicing without PCB/card-level debugging experience are not the target profile.
