ETL Tester

About Position:

We are looking for a Data/ETL QA Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Python, PL/SQL, and Database/ETL testing to validate large-scale data pipelines, transformations, and reporting outputs. The ideal candidate is comfortable writing complex SQL queries, validating ETL workflows end-to-end, and building automation frameworks for test execution and regression.

What You'll Do:

• Perform end-to-end testing of ETL/data pipelines including source-to-target validation, transformations, aggregations, and business rule validations.
• Create and execute test strategy, test plan, test cases, and test data for ETL workflows.
• Validate data completeness, accuracy, consistency, integrity, duplicates, null handling, and reconciliation across systems.
• Conduct data profiling, anomaly detection, and data quality checks using SQL and Python-based scripts.
• Verify batch jobs scheduling outcomes and pipeline dependencies, including reruns and failure scenarios.
• Perform back-end testing for data warehouses/lakes, reporting layers, and integration systems.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Strong experience in ETL Testing / Data Warehouse Testing / Database Testing
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL (complex queries, joins, subqueries, stored procedures validation)
• Hands-on scripting with Python for test utilities, validations, or automation
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts: source-to-target mapping, transformations, validations, reconciliation
• Experience working with large datasets and ensuring data quality (accuracy/completeness/integrity)
• Solid understanding of QA fundamentals: test design, defect lifecycle, regression, reporting
