Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ETL Tester with strong banking domain knowledge to support data warehouse and data integration testing initiatives. The role requires expertise in ETL testing, data validation, SQL, and data warehousing concepts, along with the ability to lead testing activities, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and quality across complex banking data systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute ETL/Data Warehouse testing for large-scale data integration projects.
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes from multiple source systems into target data warehouses or data marts.
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
• Analyze source-to-target mappings (STTM) and design comprehensive ETL test cases and scenarios.
• Perform data quality, data completeness, and data integrity checks.
• Coordinate with data engineers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Lead defect tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution management.
• Drive test planning, estimation, and test execution tracking for ETL testing cycles.
• Mentor junior testers and ensure testing best practices and standards are followed.
• Participate in test strategy development, automation opportunities, and process improvements.
• Support UAT cycles and production validation for data releases.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing
• Experience with Python or scripting for data validation
• Experience with AI tools (GitHub Copilot) for script acceleration
• Advanced SQL querying and data validation
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, or similar)
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions, star/snowflake schema)
• Experience in data reconciliation and data quality validation
• Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, ALM, TestRail, etc.)
• Exposure to Unix/Linux commands for data validation
• Understanding of data migration and integration testing
  
  

Domain Expertise

• Strong knowledge of Banking or Financial Services domain
• Exposure to areas such as:
• Regulatory / Risk Reporting
  
  

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Experience leading or mentoring ETL testing teams
• Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple testing cycles and priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to drive quality assurance best practices and testing governance
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with Big Data / Cloud Data Platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of data automation frameworks
• Exposure to Agile / Scrum delivery models
  
  

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  
  

Preferred Certifications (Optional)

• ISTQB Certification
