We are seeking a detail-oriented ETL Test Engineer to join our team onsite. This role is vital in ensuring the quality and integrity of our data pipelines and ETL processes, directly impacting our clients data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL workflows and data integration processes.
- Identify, document, and track defects in the ETL processes and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand data flows and testing requirements.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks across different stages of data warehousing.
- Automate testing procedures using tools like Selenium and Informatica where applicable.
- Prepare test documentation and provide regular status updates on testing progress.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing.
- Experience with ETL testing and data warehousing concepts.
- Hands-on knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica or equivalent.
- Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium.
- Strong understanding of Unix or Linux environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred
- Experience with testing in cloud-based data platforms.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting.
