Summary

Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced ETL Manager who brings a strong blend of hands-on technical expertise and leadership capability. This role will oversee the design, development, and optimization of ETL processes while managing a team of developers. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with SQL, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, and data modeling, along with a proven background in leading data engineering teams. This is a critical role driving both delivery excellence and technical strategy.

Job Description

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of ETL developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and professional growth
• Design, develop, and oversee ETL pipelines using SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Provide hands-on support in building and optimizing complex SQL queries and data transformations
• Define and enforce best practices for ETL development, data integration, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions
• Oversee data modeling and data warehouse design to support enterprise reporting and analytics
• Monitor ETL workflows, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
• Drive performance tuning initiatives across ETL processes, including indexing, partitioning, and query optimization
• Support cloud data strategy and contribute to modernization efforts within Azure environments

Requirements

• Proven experience in ETL development with strong hands-on expertise in SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex query development and performance tuning
• Prior experience in a managerial or team lead role within data engineering or ETL teams
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehouse architecture
• Experience working with large-scale data environments and enterprise data solutions
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivery and continuous improvement
