Key Responsibilities
ETL Design & Development
- Design, develop, and implement ETL pipelines using tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, or similar
- Build robust and scalable data extraction, transformation, and loading workflows from various sources to target systems
- Optimize data processing workflows for performance and scalability
Data Integration & Warehousing
- Work with relational and non-relational data sources to build integrated data warehouses or data marts
- Implement data models to support reporting and analytics use cases
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in data across systems
Collaboration & Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand data requirements
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for ETL implementation
Monitoring & Maintenance
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure smooth operation
- Conduct root cause analysis of data quality issues and recommend fixes
- Maintain documentation for ETL design, processes, and data mappings
Data Quality & Governance
- Implement validation, cleansing, and transformation rules to ensure data quality
- Work closely with data governance teams to align with compliance and security standards
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 4 to 9 years of hands-on experience in ETL development and data integration
- Proven experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, etc.)
- Strong SQL and database development skills (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Experience with cloud-based ETL/data integration tools (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, GCP Dataflow) is a plus
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and tools (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.)
