Job Description

  • ETL/Data Warehouse Testing:
  • Conduct comprehensive ETL testing across data pipelines, ensuring the accurate extraction, transformation, and loading of data into data warehouse environments.
  • Perform data validation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of data between source and destination systems.
  • Test Snowflake data storage, integration, and analytics features, verifying data quality, integrity, and performance.
  • SQL Querying & Data Analysis:
  • Write complex SQL queries to validate data, verify transformations, and perform data extraction for testing purposes.
  • Conduct data analysis to ensure the data in the data warehouse aligns with business requirements.
  • Test Planning & Documentation:
  • Prepare detailed Test Plans and Test Strategies for various data integration processes.
  • Write comprehensive Test Scenarios and Test Cases, ensuring thorough coverage of ETL processes, data quality checks, and performance tests.
  • Automation (Python):
  • Python scripting experience is a plus for automating test cases, improving efficiency and coverage.
  • Assist with test automation for routine ETL testing tasks and data verification, using Python as the primary tool.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Collaborate with development, data engineering, and product teams to ensure smooth testing processes and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Write clear test documentation, communicate results, and track issues with internal stakeholders.
  • Self-Motivated Project Management:
  • Proactively drive the testing process for data warehouse projects, managing the end-to-end testing lifecycle.
  • Work independently, take ownership of tasks, and ensure timely and effective delivery of testing milestones.
