Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled ETL & Data Warehouse Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience in testing data warehouse and ETL applications. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in SQL, Unix, and ETL testing tools with hands-on experience in validating complex data transformation and migration processes.
This is a purely technical role with no functional or business analyst responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ETL and Data Warehouse testing for enterprise data platforms.
- Validate source-to-target data mapping, transformation logic, and data integrity.
- Develop and execute SQL queries for backend data validation and reconciliation.
- Perform data quality checks, regression testing, integration testing, and system testing.
- Analyze ETL workflows, identify defects, and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
- Validate large volumes of data across multiple databases and environments.
- Work on batch processing validation and scheduling verification.
- Prepare test cases, test scenarios, defect reports, and test execution reports.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
Required Skills- 5+ years of experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- SQL
- Unix/Linux commands
- Any ETL Testing Tool
- Strong understanding of:
- Data Warehousing concepts
- ETL processes and workflows
- Data validation techniques
- Database testing
- Experience in writing complex SQL queries for data analysis and validation.
- Good analytical and debugging skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to GCP Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of Application Insights / monitoring tools.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
