Role Description

This is a volunteer and remote role for an Ethical Hacker. The Ethical Hacker will analyze and enhance the security of systems and applications by conducting vulnerability assessments, malware analysis, and penetration testing. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying system vulnerabilities, testing network security, preparing detailed reports of findings, and collaborating with internal teams to remediate potential risks. Integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to ethical practices are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in Application Security and identifying potential weaknesses or vulnerabilities in software applications
  • Profound knowledge of Network Security and the ability to safeguard various digital communication and system infrastructures
  • Experience in Malware Analysis to detect and analyze malicious software and propose mitigation strategies
  • Proficiency in conducting Vulnerability Assessments to identify and categorize risks in systems and applications
  • Deep understanding of Cybersecurity principles, including threat mitigation, risk analysis, and penetration testing
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Strong ethical framework and commitment to professionalism in a cybersecurity context
  • Beneficial: Certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), or similar credentials
  • Beneficial: Previous experience collaborating with organizations on digital security enhancements
