Function

This role will support trading activity of portfolio managers trading listed Futures and Options on Futures. The role will primarily focus on clearing & reconciliation, with primary responsibilities targeted towards T0 & T+1 Futures trade clearance and reconciliation. The candidate should have subject matter expertise in the intricacies of futures clearing, trade management, and position reconciliation. The candidate should be open to working during NAM shifts. Some late nights and weekends may be required.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Futures & Options on Futures trade clearance & management; specifically on NAM Exchanges (Chicago Board of Trade/Chicago Mercantile Exchange).
  • Management of exchange reconciliations; Trade Blotter Reports; Unprocessed Trade Reports, CFTC Large Trader/Open Interest Reporting, and Expiring Position Reporting.
  • Liaising with internal and external counterparties, to ensure timely settlement and clearance of Futures and Options on Futures trades. Ensure positions are properly reflected in internal booking systems and on exchange front-end platforms.
  • Initiate transfers of Futures & Options on Futures positions across FCMs & clearing brokers. Manage the firm's positions across counterparties on the exchange, specifically on NAM Exchanges.
  • Coordinate amongst various internal and external stakeholders, to efficiently and effectively maintain controls, mitigate risk, and resolve trade/position related issues.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects/initiatives and work with colleagues across the firm to implement process changes/improvements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) operations.

At least 5 years of experience in T0 / T+1 clearing, including give-in / give-up processing and position transfers.

Strong expertise in trade, position, cash, and commission reconciliations, including cash adjustments and a solid understanding of end-to-end ETD trade flows.

Excellent product knowledge of Futures & Options, with a good understanding of major exchanges across ASIA, EMEA, and the US.

Experience with systems such as ClearVision Intellimatch GMI RECON Manager and FIS CD is a strong advantage.

Strong understanding of exchange rules and clearing processes, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and internal policies.
