Job Description
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of our Salesforce platform by designing and executing manual test cases and automated scripts. A strong understanding of Salesforce declarative tools, security models, and data management is required.
Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Planning: Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Manual Testing: Perform functional, end-to-end (E2E), system, regression, and UAT testing on Salesforce Lightning and Classic platforms.
- Salesforce Configuration Validation: Verify custom objects, validation rules, workflow rules, approval processes, formulas, and Apex triggers.
- Data Validation & Management: Use SOQL queries and Data Loader to create, validate, and manipulate test data in Salesforce.
- Automation Testing: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for regression testing to ensure minimal manual effort.
- Integration Testing: Test Salesforce integrations with third-party systems (e.g., ERP, Marketing platforms, Middleware) to ensure seamless data flow.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using Jira or Azure DevOps, collaborating with developers for quick resolution.
- Security Testing: Validate user roles, profiles, and sharing settings to ensure proper data access.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience specifically in testing Salesforce applications.
- Functional Knowledge: Strong experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Communities.
- Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of Salesforce Lightning Component Framework.
- Familiarity with Apex code, triggers, and Visualforce pages.
- Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Tools:
Defect Tracking: JIRA.
Data Manipulation: Data Loader.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
