Job Description
The Salesforce Technical/Platform Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable, secure, and highperformance Salesforce solutions. This role bridges business needs with technical feasibility, ensuring that the Salesforce ecosystemincluding Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing tools, and custom applicationssupports strategic objectives and adheres to architectural best practices.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Solution Design
- Lead endtoend architecture for complex Salesforce implementations.
- Design scalable solutions using Salesforce best practices, including data models, integration patterns, and security configurations.
- Create and maintain architectural blueprints, solution diagrams, integration flows, and technical documentation.
- Ensure alignment of Salesforce solutions with enterprise architecture and platform governance.
- Technical Leadership
- Provide expert guidance to development teams on Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, APIs, and Integration design.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor developers on best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Platform Governance & Standards
- Establish and enforce Salesforce development standards, naming conventions, CI/CD practices, and release management processes.
- Oversee data quality, data security, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Evaluate and approve new Salesforce packages, AppExchange tools, and thirdparty integrations.
- Integration & Data Management
- Architect integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools (MuleSoft, Informatica, Boomi, etc.), and event-driven architecture.
- Define data governance standards including master data management, deduplication, and data archiving.
- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with cross-functional teamsIT, Product, Business, Supportto define long-term Salesforce roadmap and platform strategy.
- Present architectural concepts and solution proposals to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Ensure business goals are met while maintaining technical integrity and system scalability.
Technical Skills
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Salesforce configuration and custom development (Apex, LWC, Triggers, Visualforce, Flows).
- Deep understanding of Salesforce platform architecture (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with integration frameworks, ETL processes, and API-based integrations.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Git, Azure DevOps, Copado, Gearset, Jenkins).
- Understanding of identity and access management (SSO, OAuth, SAML, SCIM, etc.).
- Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps, security model, and governor limits.
Qualifications
Professional Qualifications
- Minimum of 12+ years of Salesforce experience; 3+ years in an Architect role preferred.
- Salesforce certifications such as:
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) (preferred)
- Application Architect
- System Architect
- Integration Architect
- Platform Developer II
- Platform App Builder
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large enterprise Salesforce implementations.
- Knowledge of complementary cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience integrating Salesforce with ERPs (SAP, Oracle), marketing platforms, and data warehouses.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
