As an SAP S4HANA Cloud developer , your primary role would be to get to the heart of customer issues, diagnose problem areas, design innovative solutions and facilitate deployment resulting in client delight. You will work as a full stack developer for development of state-of-the-art software applications in SAP S/4HANA cloud and Datasphere.
Here's How You'll Contribute
In this role, you will demonstrate responsibility for all SAP ABAP development tasks using SAP BTP and ensure completion of custom developments with good quality, on time delivery and efficiency. You will
- Apply clean code principles: execute code reviews, code inspections, unit testing, performance measurements and other quality tasks.
- Perform development tasks in a self-reliant way.
- Work closely with Architect, Senior Developers and other stakeholders to achieve effective design and code reviews.
- Author software design and technical documentation.
Skills Required To Contribute
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Cloud Developer with proven expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to design, develop, and enhance cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical development skills in S/4HANA Cloud (extensions, APIs, CDS views, RAP model) with hands-on experience in building, deploying, and integrating custom applications on BTP, as well as SAP HANA database modeling and development using SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) to meet complex business needs.
- Ability to design and develop data flows in SAP Datasphere to extract data from S/4HANA
- Build views/models in SAP Datasphere to be published to Data Platform
- Support report development in SAC on top of the views designed in SAP Datasphere
- Experience in Supporting SAP Extensibility Explorer through SAP Business Technology Platform
- Experience in Supporting SAP ABAP development tasks with customizations to CDS views, Fiori
apps, support and maintain O data services and API services
- Requires minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in SAP BTP services such as CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), Workflow, Business Rules, Integration Suite, and Identity Authentication.
- Develop and extend S/4HANA Cloud applications using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), CDS views, OData services, and in-app extensibility.
- Design and implement side-by-side extensions and custom business applications on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry, Kyma runtime, CAP).
- Integrate SAP S/4HANA Cloud with SAP Datasphere and external systems using APIs, SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), and event-driven architecture.
- Strong expertise in ABAP RAP, CDS views, Fiori/UI5, OData, and API Management.
- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP services such as CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), Workflow, Business Rules, Integration Suite, and Identity Authentication.
- Proficiency in SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) for cloud-based development and lifecycle management.
- Experience in SAP HANA database modeling (calculation views, data modeling, SQL scripting, and performance optimization).
- Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure performance, security, and compliance standards for cloud developments.
- Should have hands on experience in Integrations with third party applications & non-SAP systems.
- The candidate should have working experience in UI5, Fiori, Workflow, ADOBE / smart forms.
- The candidate must have experience in preparation of Technical specifications.
- Should have good communication skills.
Additional Skills Required
- Basics of Architecture and Design fundamentals
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and understanding of Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects
- Basics of business domain to understand the business requirements
- Analytical abilities, strong technical skills and good communication skills
- Good understanding of the technology, domain and Awareness of latest technologies and trends
- Ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of software quality assurance principles, SOLID design principles and modelling methods
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and debugging skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering / MCA or any equivalent qualification.
- SAP Certification in relevant areas.
