Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Perl and Oracle Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Perl programming, experience with Oracle databases, and the ability to develop and maintain robust, scalable applications. This role requires a strong understanding of Perl scripting, database design, optimization, and SQL.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Perl scripts to automate processes and data integration tasks.
- Design and implement efficient SQL queries for interacting with Oracle databases.
- Collaborate with the database team to optimize and troubleshoot complex database queries.
- Create and manage database objects such as tables, views, procedures, and triggers in Oracle.
- Write complex PL/SQL procedures and functions to support application functionalities.
- Perform database performance tuning and query optimization in Oracle environments.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues with Perl scripts and Oracle database queries.
- Write clear documentation for Perl scripts, database schemas, and processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Maintain, test, and upgrade existing Perl and Oracle-based applications.
Qualifications
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and Data Guard.
- Knowledge of Web Services and integration techniques.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with tools like Oracle SQL Developer, Toad, or PL/SQL Developer.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Perl development and working with Oracle databases.
