Key Responsibilities
Investment Research & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth fundamental research on equities, sectors, and markets, including analysis of financial statements, business models, valuation metrics, and macroeconomic indicators.
- Prepare financial models, forecasts, and investment notes to support fund managers in portfolio construction and investment decisions.
- Monitor equity markets and sectors to identify potential investment ideas and flag them to senior team members
- Track company developments, earnings announcements, corporate actions, and industry trends.
- Interact with company management, sell-side analysts, and other market participants to gather insights on business performance and investment potential.
Requirements
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of equity markets, valuation techniques, and trading strategies.
- Practical experience in equity trade execution, order management systems, and post-trade processes.
- Familiarity with IRDAI investment guidelines and regulatory frameworks (added advantage).
- Proficiency in financial tools and platforms such as Bloomberg, Excel, and trading systems.
- High level of analytical rigour with the ability to synthesize research into actionable investment insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with fund managers, brokers, and internal teams.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work under tight market-driven deadlines
Qualifications & Experience/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Pursuing / completed professional qualifications such as CFA / MBA / FRM will be an advantage
- Up to 5 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment analysis, equity dealing
- Experience within the insurance sector or other regulated financial institutions is preferred but not mandatory.
