Job Responsibilities:
As an Analyst within the Global Research Center (GRC), you will be responsible for supporting J.P. Morgan's Global Research franchise through financial analysis, market intelligence, and data-driven insights. You will partner with global research teams across geographies to develop industry and company analysis, build financial models, and identify key market trends. You will leverage quantitative techniques, programming tools, and proprietary research content to deliver actionable recommendations. You will create high-quality research reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. You will also collaborate closely with sector teams to support client-driven projects and enhance research workflows through automation and technology.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct industry, company, and market research to address key project objectives and hypotheses.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data from public, proprietary, and alternative data sources.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, datasets, dashboards, and analytical frameworks.
- Monitor market developments, industry dynamics, and macroeconomic trends to identify opportunities and risks.
- Create insightful research reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
- Present key analyses, conclusions, and recommendations to research stakeholders.
- Collaborate proactively with global research teams on sector-specific and client-driven projects.
- Participate in conference calls and support cross-functional research initiatives.
- Develop deep knowledge of industry, regulatory, technological, and company-specific developments.
- Leverage technology, automation tools, and AI capabilities to improve research efficiency and workflow.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Strong interest in financial markets and investment research.
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and VBA.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, VBA, or MATLAB.
- Strong knowledge of Bloomberg, FactSet, and other market intelligence platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team environment.
- High attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.
- Understanding of machine learning, statistics, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience leveraging AI/LLM tools and enterprise technologies to enhance research and automation processes.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Experience in Equity Research or Financial Research environments.
- Understanding of the Financials and/or Insurance sector.
- CFA or FRM Level I or Level II qualification.
- Experience with Tableau, Alteryx, or other analytics and automation tools.
- Postgraduate degree, MBA, CA, or B.Tech. with a strong academic record.
- Passion for equity markets and investment analysis.
- Experience applying advanced analytics and automation to research workflows.
