Equity Research Analyst

Description

We are seeking a motivated Equity Research Analyst with 2-5 years of experience to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough analysis of equity securities, developing financial models, and providing actionable investment recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Conducting fundamental research on listed companies and sectors.
• Analysing annual reports, investor presentations, concalls, exchange filings and market data.
• Preparing company notes, sector reports, market reports, and investment summaries.
• Preparing daily and weekly market updates/reports for internal and client use.
• Tracking market news, corporate announcements, results, sector trends and macro developments.
• Building and maintaining basic financial models and valuation sheets.
• Supporting the team in portfolio monitoring, investment research and client-facing presentations.
• Using Excel, stock exchange data, financial websites and research platforms for analysis.Role & responsibilities

Skills and Qualifications

• Prior experience in equity research is mandatory
• NISM Research Analyst Certification and Graduation Certificate are mandatory requirements.
• Post Graduation in Finance/Commerce/Economics/MBA Finance will be preferred.
• Strong interest in equity markets and listed companies.
• Good understanding of financial statements and market developments.
• Good command over English, MS Excel, MS Office, email and web research.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking and clear communication skills.
• Prior experience or familiarity with Bloomberg, Capitaline, Ace Equity, or similar platforms will be preferred.
