Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth equity and private market research across sectors, including unlisted and pre-IPO companies.
- Build and maintain financial models and perform valuation analysis using DCF, comparables, and precedent transactions.
- Critical evaluation of strategic and anchor investment opportunities in IPOs and private placements, supporting due diligence and deal assessment.
- Track industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments affecting investments.
- Prepare investment memos, presentations, and recommendations for internal committees and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with fund managers, investment teams, and external partners (merchant bankers, founders, and advisors) to identify and execute investment deals.
- Support deal sourcing and pipeline development for private and pre-IPO investments through network and ecosystem engagement.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong research and analytical skills with proven experience in public, private, or unlisted company evaluation.
- Deep understanding of valuation techniques for early-stage, growth-stage, and pre-IPO companies.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel analysis, and clear presentation of insights.
- Ability to interpret financial statements, cap tables, and investor structures acrossdeal stages.
- Experience in investment memos, deal notes, and due diligence documentation.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to deliver under tight timelines.
- Familiarity with tools like Bloomberg, Capital IQ, CrunchBase etc.
- Prior exposure to anchor or strategic investing is a strong plus.
