About the Role
We are seeking Epidemiologists (Freelancers) to help improve how AI models understand, analyze, and reason about disease patterns, public health interventions, population-level health outcomes, outbreak investigations, and evidence-based healthcare decision-making.
In this role, you will leverage your expertise to create realistic epidemiological scenarios, evaluate AI-generated responses, develop expert reference answers, and provide structured feedback that helps improve the accuracy, analytical rigor, and reasoning capabilities of advanced AI systems.
What You'll Do
- Design realistic epidemiological and public health scenarios based on real-world challenges
- Develop expert-level reference responses aligned with current scientific evidence and public health guidelines
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for methodological accuracy, analytical reasoning, and public health relevance
- Grade AI outputs using structured evaluation frameworks and rubrics
- Provide detailed written feedback to help improve model performance
- Participate in onboarding sessions, calibration exercises, and specialty-specific review activities
- Collaborate with AI researchers and healthcare experts to enhance model capabilities
Researchers & Fellows
- Currently pursuing or have completed advanced training in Epidemiology, Public Health, or related disciplines
- Strong foundation in population health research and epidemiological reasoning
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in academic research, public health agencies, healthcare organizations, or international health programs
- Strong understanding of study design, causal inference, statistical methods, and evidence appraisal
- Ability to critically evaluate scientific literature and research findings
- Excellent written communication and analytical skills
- Prior experience reviewing scientific content, research publications, or public health reports is a plus
