About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead procurement and contractor management for both electrical systems and civil/construction works across EPC projects. The role focuses on driving cost-effective sourcing, managing contractor performance, and ensuring timely and compliant execution aligned with project timelines and business goals. You will be responsible for end-to-end procurement planning, tendering, and contract finalization while working closely with engineering, project execution, and finance teams to ensure seamless coordination. The role also requires strong oversight of vendor performance, cost optimization, and risk management to support efficient project delivery across multiple sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop procurement plans for electrical and civil packages aligned with project timelines.
  • Define sourcing strategies including BOQ-based contracts, item-rate, EPC, and rate contracts.
  • Identify, prequalify, and onboard contractors across electrical and construction domains.
  • Lead tendering processes including RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluation, and contract finalization.
  • Manage procurement for electrical works (HT/LT systems, panels, transformers, cabling, earthing) and civil works (foundations, trenching, structural works, roads).
  • Conduct techno-commercial evaluations in coordination with engineering teams.
  • Negotiate contracts, finalize scope, deliverables, timelines, and commercial terms.
  • Manage variation orders, claims, and ensure contract compliance.
  • Ensure timely contractor mobilization and track execution progress.
  • Coordinate with project teams to resolve on-site and execution-related issues.
  • Monitor procurement budgets, track costs, and drive value engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and safety norms.
  • Build and manage a strong contractor/vendor ecosystem.
  • Identify risks related to procurement and execution and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain procurement MIS, dashboards, and documentation for management review.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (MBA preferred).
  • 10–18 years of experience in EPC procurement, handling both electrical and civil packages.
  • Strong expertise in BOQ-based procurement, subcontract management, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems (HT/LT, transformers, panels, cabling) and civil works (RCC, structural, site development).
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen with cost control and value engineering mindset.
  • Excellent vendor/contractor management and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
