Role Description

This is a contractual and remote role for an Environmental Project Manager. In this capacity, you will oversee environmental initiatives, including afforestation and biodiversity restoration projects, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement sustainable water and land management solutions. Regular tasks will include project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting to achieve the organization's environmental goals. The role also involves working closely with rural communities, managing project budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications

  • Project management skills with experience in planning, execution, and monitoring of environmental or developmental projects.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental conservation, water resource management, and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and community engagement abilities.
  • Analytical skills, including project analysis and reporting capabilities, with proficiency in using project management tools.
  • Understanding of government schemes, policies, and regulations related to rural and environmental development is a plus.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Project Management, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup and adapt to the dynamic needs of rural community-based projects.
