Role: Environment Manager

Location: Pune | Hybrid

Experience: 12–15 years

We are looking for an experienced Environment Manager to lead the management, stability, availability and lifecycle of distributed technology environments supporting large-scale Java/J2EE applications across cloud and on-premises platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end management of distributed application environments across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Manage Java/J2EE applications, middleware, APIs and associated technology components.
• Lead environment provisioning, configuration, deployment, upgrades, patching and decommissioning.
• Partner with Azure Cloud teams to manage and optimize cloud environments.
• Ensure environment availability, stability, performance and capacity.
• Coordinate environment readiness for releases, testing and production deployments.
• Manage dependencies across application, database, network, middleware, security and infrastructure teams.
• Drive DevOps/CI-CD automation for environment provisioning, configuration and deployment.
• Lead incident, problem and service-management activities and drive permanent corrective actions.
• Maintain environment inventories, configuration documentation and technology lifecycle plans.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Ensure security, risk, audit and regulatory compliance.
• Define and monitor KPIs/SLA metrics for environment availability, stability and delivery.
• Lead distributed/global teams and manage senior technology stakeholders and vendors.

Essential Skills

• 10–12 years in technology/infrastructure/application operations
• Significant experience in enterprise Java environments
• Experience managing large, complex and geographically distributed technology estates
• Proven experience leading technology teams and large-scale environment initiatives
• Financial Services/Banking or other highly regulated industry experience is an advantage
• Strong experience managing Java-based distributed technology environments
