Job description
1. Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international EHS regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, HIRA, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Lead safety culture initiatives, toolbox talks, and behavioral safety programs.
- Monitor and reduce environmental impacts (emissions, effluents, waste, energy).
- Manage emergency preparedness, fire safety, and disaster management plans.
- Liaise with statutory authorities, auditors, and regulators.
- Track and report EHS KPIs, near misses, and corrective actions
2. ESG Strategy & Governance
- Develop and execute the organizations ESG roadmap and sustainability strategy.
- Identify and manage material ESG risks and opportunities.
- Drive carbon footprint measurement, reduction initiatives, and net-zero planning.
- Lead initiatives related to:
- Climate change & energy transition
- Water stewardship
- Waste circularity
- Biodiversity
- Occupational health & social impact
- Establish ESG governance structures and internal controls.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Training
- Engage with internal stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and communities.
- Drive supplier ESG and safety compliance programs.
- Conduct EHS and ESG training programs across the organization.
- Support customer and investor ESG inquiries and audits.
4. Continuous Improvement & Digitalization
- Implement digital EHS & ESG solutions for monitoring and reporting.
- Benchmark against industry best practices and peer organizations.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance ESG performance and safety maturity.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of EHS laws, compliance, and audits
- ESG frameworks & sustainability reporting
- Carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2, 3)
