Job Description
Accounting, Control and Compliance
- Project Accounting and Inventory Accounting for listed entity including good understanding technical accounting (Project, Revenue, cost accounting, Standard cost working, assessment & distributions, COPA cycles, project settlements)
- Support in preparation of financial statements on quarterly basis by preparing the Sales Bifurcation/ Project accounting reconciliation/ Inventory provision walks / Unbilled AR provisions etc.
- Act as entity Controller for the small and mid-size entities and prepare Support in financial statements and audit co-ordination
- Exposure of IND AS, FEMA and relevant laws prevalent in India to ensure smooth Audit completion of the assigned areas.
- Ensure entity complies with HON policies.
- Own and/or support balance sheet review process. Completion of quarterly variance analysis of the B/S and P/L. Perform preparation of account reconciliations in blackline and drive better control.
- Ensure timely preparation/submission of all statutory compliance reportings.
- Overall end-to-end owner of accounting, control and compliance for the assigned small entities including review of account reconciliation and TB review.
- Reduce the time for local reporting and number of additional entries.
Business Partnership and Process Improvement
- Ensure a regular connection with extended team, key stakeholders in finance and business to deliver US GAAP & IGAAP compliant accounting/ reports.
- Maintain transparent accounting practices and ensure excellent relationships are maintained with internal and external stakeholders. Timely communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders on the accounting matters.
- Identify & propose process improvement/automation opportunities.
- Provide financial reports, analysis, explanations and advice based on knowledge of financial info, relevant GAAP & supporting SAP systems to SBU/auditors.
- Support implementation of Treasury, Tax and Controllership initiatives
- Identify and lead process improvement opportunities, lead the project and ensure completion.
- Manage the ad-hoc queries from Auditors / other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications
- CA with 3-5 years of experience
- Semi qualified Chartered Accountant / equivalent with good academic achievements 7-10 years experience
- BCom, MCom, MBA with relevant experience
Required Experiences
- Min 3-10 years of experience with exposure to accounting and reporting.
- Experience of project accounting and inventory accounting of big size entities with international presence and hands on knowledge transition experience preferred.
- Good to have Ind AS experience and expert knowledge.
Knowledge and Skills
Critical
- Hands on experience with SAP / Systems knowledge of SAP and HFM
- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP & IGAAP
- Knowledge of R2R concepts, processes and best practices
- Good working knowledge of US GAAP, Local GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley
- Good knowledge of internal control framework / SOX at multinational setup
- Process orientated with excellent problem-solving skills.
