Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Workforce Planning & Strategy Lead to provide advisory and hands-on support to the Enterprise Headcount Planning team. This role is pivotal in translating enterprise strategic imperatives, goals, and controls into actionable workforce plans. The incumbent will lead process redesign initiatives, develop multi-dimensional headcount models, and deliver high-frequency executive reports to support strategic decision-making.

The role involves close interaction with senior executives such as CHRO, CFO, and COOs, and requires expertise in advanced statistical modeling, scenario planning, and workforce analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Workforce Planning & Advisory:

  • Develop and maintain annual enterprise headcount plans (multiple versions).
  • Provide advisory support to the Headcount Planning team for quarterly and monthly planning cycles.
  • Utilize advanced statistical modeling and scenario analysis to drive effective workforce planning.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Produce executive dashboards and reports tracking actuals vs. plan.
  • Implement additional metrics to enhance quantitative analysis and insights.
  • Identify gaps in planning processes through root cause analysis and propose improvements.

Process Transformation & Optimization:

  • Lead enterprise-wide process redesign and transformation initiatives.
  • Liaise with IT teams to design, track, and monitor rollout of corporate systems for workforce planning and process reengineering.
  • Identify and implement optimization opportunities in workforce operations, cost management, and resource allocation.

Governance & Compliance:

  • Prepare for audits, risk reviews, and governance assessments related to workforce planning.
  • Ensure workforce planning processes align with enterprise strategic objectives and controls.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Regularly interact with senior executives (CHRO, CFO, COOs) and business leaders to provide insights, updates, and recommendations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on workforce strategy, organizational design, and headcount planning.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 15+ years in Enterprise Workforce Strategy & Planning, preferably in Tier 1 IT Services or Fortune 500 Manufacturing, Consulting, Automotive, or FMCG companies.
  • Education: Degree from a Tier 1 institute (IITs or equivalent); advanced degree in Economics, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IT business operations, workforce metrics, and financial metrics.
  • Expertise in solution modeling, scenario building, sensitivity analysis, and workforce optimization.
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise workforce plans that optimize costs, improve efficiency, and reduce waste.
  • Hands-on experience with Excel, large dataset analysis, and executive presentations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment.
