Enterprise Cloud Engineer – L1

We are looking for an Enterprise Cloud Engineer to manage, monitor, automate, and optimize AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure in a commercial environment. The role involves cloud operations, infrastructure automation, monitoring, security, performance management, capacity planning, and cloud migration while supporting both cloud and on-premise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provision, deploy, configure, and monitor AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, Docker, Salt, and Puppet.
• Architect and manage AWS and Azure virtual machines following cloud best practices.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, databases, applications, and development environments.
• Monitor infrastructure and application performance using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Nagios, New Relic, Grafana, PRTG, and SolarWinds.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement infrastructure improvements.
• Plan resource scaling and implement auto-scaling solutions based on workload requirements.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure costs and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Manage users, policies, and cloud security controls.
• Design and support public/private cloud migration solutions.
• Support on-premise to cloud migration projects and infrastructure modernization.
• Manage infrastructure capacity, availability, utilization, and expansion requirements.
• Provision, maintain, and monitor MSSQL and MySQL databases.
• Manage Microsoft infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Azure AD, and Azure AD Connect.
• Support web applications, middleware platforms, and infrastructure services.
• Develop support processes, work plans, risk management plans, and technical schedules.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, database, application, and service teams.
• Participate in on-call support and resolve infrastructure issues when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4–7 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Administration.
• Strong hands-on experience managing both AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with on-premise to cloud migration projects.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, and PowerShell.
• Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Good knowledge of virtualization, high availability, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Nagios, New Relic, or Grafana.
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure scaling, web services, database services, and caching infrastructure.
• Experience with MSSQL and MySQL provisioning, maintenance, and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Azure AD, and Azure AD Connect.
• Understanding of web applications and middleware such as Tomcat and Python frameworks.
• Knowledge of server, storage, and data centre infrastructure.
• Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

Certifications:

Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect

Desirable: Red Hat Certification

Desirable: MCSE – Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
