Job Description

We are looking for a Enterprise Applications & ERP Lead for Corporate IT team- Mumbai.

Reporting To

Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Role Purpose

The Enterprise Applications & ERP Lead is responsible for strategy, governance, delivery, and stable operations of the enterprise application landscape at group level, with primary ownership of ERP systems and missioncritical business applications like SAP, PLM,CRM,HRMS, SCM,DMS etc. The role ensures process integrity, system availability, regulatory compliance, and continuous value realisation for core business functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. ERP & Application Landscape Ownership

  • Own endtoend responsibility of enterprise applications and ERP platforms (SAP ECC / S/4HANA or equivalent) and associated enterprise applications.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, data integrity, and operational stability of businesscritical systems.
  • Drive application lifecycle management including upgrades, enhancements, rollouts, and rationalisation.

2. Business Process Enablement

  • Partner with business stakeholders across Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, HR, and Engineering and divisional heads of respective businesses.
  • Ensure ERP solutions are aligned to standardised and harmonised enterprise processes at group level
  • Support business expansion initiatives such as new plants, product lines, and organisational restructuring.

3. Program & Delivery Management

  • Lead large ERP initiatives including:
  • S/4HANA transformation / rollouts
  • Major functional enhancements
  • New Enterprise applications
  • Regulatorydriven changes
  • Ensure predictable delivery through structured program management, scope control, and risk management.

4. Governance, Controls & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to:
  • IT General Controls (ITGC)
  • Segregation of Duties (SoD)
  • Internal, statutory, and system audits
  • Own change management, release governance, and transport controls.
  • Ensure compliance with information security, data privacy, and data residency requirements.

5. Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage ERP system integrators, AMS partners, and OEMs at enterprise applications.
  • Drive service quality, SLA adherence, cost optimisation, and vendor accountability.
  • Govern contract renewals, AMC, and licensing in coordination with Procurement and Finance.

6. Integration & Data Enablement

  • Govern integrations between ERP and surrounding systems (MES, PLM, WMS, HR, BI, Analytics).
  • Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable integration architecture.
  • Enable accurate and timely business reporting through clean ERP data foundations.

7. Continuous Improvement

  • Drive ERPled process efficiency, automation, and simplification.
  • Reduce customisation and technical debt.
  • Improve user experience and adoption through structured improvements.

Key Deliverables

  • Stable and compliant ERP and enterprise application operations at group level.
  • Successful ERP programs delivered on time and within budget
  • Clean audit outcomes with minimal observations
  • Improved process efficiency and data visibility
  • Controlled application support and ownership costs

Qualifications & Experience

  • Engineering / MCA / MBA (Systems / Operations preferred).
  • 15–18+ years of enterprise IT experience with strong ERP exposure.
  • Handson experience in ERP modules such as FI, MM, SD, PP, QM, PM, HR (as applicable)., HRMS, PLM, SCM,CRM etc,
  • Experience in manufacturing / engineering / PSU / regulated environments preferred.
