Role Description This is a full-time, on-site English Teacher role based at the Sanjay Ghodawat International School campus in Kolhapur, with an immediate joining requirement. The English Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with IB, Cambridge, or CBSE curricula, ensuring clear learning objectives and differentiated instruction for diverse learners. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching English language and literature, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role involves maintaining classroom discipline, creating an inclusive and encouraging learning environment, and integrating reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities into daily teaching. The teacher will also participate in faculty meetings, parent interactions, school events, and professional development initiatives to support overall student growth.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in English Teaching and Teaching, with a proven ability to deliver curriculum-aligned instruction in language and literature.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Lesson Planning and Education practices, including designing structured, learner-centered, and assessment-driven lessons.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly, engage students, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Education, or a related field; a B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is highly preferred.
- Experience teaching in IB, Cambridge, or CBSE frameworks, along with familiarity with modern pedagogies, classroom technology, and continuous assessment methods.
- Ability to manage a diverse classroom, foster an inclusive and respectful environment, and mentor students in academic, co-curricular, and life skills.
