Job Description
- We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our IGCSE team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspiring and educating students in English language and literature, fostering a love for reading, writing, and critical analysis.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
- Teach English language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing, to secondary school students.
- Introduce students to a variety of literary genres, authors, and texts, and facilitate discussions to deepen understanding and critical thinking.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Assess student progress regularly through assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Encourage student participation and active engagement in class activities and discussions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary activities and projects that integrate English language arts with other subjects.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in education.
Requirements
Required Qualifications - Masters Degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed.
Required Skills - - Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines, with a commitment to following the school's policies and procedures.
