ABOUT THE COMPANY

The Australian Council for Educational Research (India) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ACER, operating from New Delhi. The New Delhi office serves as ACER's South Asian hub for helping education systems in the region to improve learning outcomes.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

ACER India is currently seeking and English Language Expert to provide support to projects within its Assessment Design and Development team. The English Language Expert will support the core service delivery functions across the organisation and play a critical role in:

  • Instrument/Content design and development for large scale and school-based assessments in English
  • Supporting qualitative or quantitative research activities
  • Linguistic review of instruments of other subjects
  • Supporting school-based professional development activities

The English Language Expert will work under the direction of the relevant Project Managers and in collaboration with other project team stakeholders.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline
  • Relevant research and/or analytical skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines without compromising attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Computer literacy, particularly with general business software
  • Willingness to learn and demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and professional development

Possession of a Master Degree in a relevant discipline and/or relevant experience of working in the education sector are desirable.

This appointment is offered on an ongoing, full time basis. This position will be based at ACER India's office in New Delhi. ACER pays competitive salary to suitably qualified candidates.
