Job Description

We are seeking a creative and driven individual to join our English Content team at CricTracker as a Sports Content Writer. In this role, you will be tasked with producing a variety of content, including news articles, match previews, reports, predictions, listicles, stats-based pieces, features, opinions, and video-based content

If you are passionate about Cricket, possess excellent writing skills, and are comfortable working under unconventional hours (including night shifts and weekends) due to your love for the sport, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Write error-free, well-structured, and engaging content with proper grammar and clarity.
  • Create audience-focused content that increases engagement and interaction.
  • Independently write, edit, and publish articles with complete accuracy and proper formatting.
  • Conduct research and fact-check content before publication.
  • Generate new content ideas, trending topics, and creative concepts.
  • Guide and support junior writers whenever required.
  • Handle team coordination, task allocation, and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain consistency in content quality, tone, SEO practices, and publishing timelines.
  • Ensure timely delivery of work while maintaining high editorial standards.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Mass Communication/Journalism is preferred.
  • Prior experience of 12-5 years, working with a sports media firm or a digital newsroom will be preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for Cricket.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to take criticism constructively.
  • Willingness to work effectively and efficiently under pressure in a time-bound manner.
