Engineering Technical Lead

• Lead the end-to-end development of Azure applications and integrations – from design to production
• Manage a team of Azure Engineering professionals, providing mentorship and technical guidance
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical requirements
• Own delivery commitments, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to enterprise standards
• Drive predictable release cycles with strong quality governance
• Build deep expertise across Azure services (compute, storage, networking, security, integration)
• Ensure best practices in cloud architecture, security, compliance, and cost optimization
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements on the Microsoft Azure platform
• Oversee model lifecycle management including experimentation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Implement and scale CI/CD pipelines for Azure applications
• Promote Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automated provisioning
• Strengthen automated testing frameworks and release governance
• Drive automation-first practices to improve deployment speed and reliability
• Ensure system robustness, uptime, and high availability of cloud services
• Define and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and engineering KPIs
• Drive continuous improvement in observability, monitoring, and recovery processes

• Provide technical leadership in resolving complex architectural, integration, and performance challenges
• Balance trade-offs between speed, cost, quality, and risk when making delivery decisions
• Leads problem-solving during critical incidents involving AI models or services
• Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and services within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and recommend adoption where appropriate

Knowledge, Experience, Technical and Soft Skills

To provide the minimum requirements of the jobholder to be productive. Identify the qualifications (educational / certification), type of work experience, depth of the knowledge and skills (technical / soft).

• 8–12+ years of engineering experience with significant exposure to cloud platforms
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture principles and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of services within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (compute, storage, networking, identity, security, integration).
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD practices, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)Strong hands-on expertise in Azure services (App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, VMs, Storage, Networking).
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent CI/CD tooling.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep).
• Strong API design and integration skills (REST, messaging, event-driven architectures).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of identity and access management (Azure AD / Entra ID).
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and cloud security controls.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability
• High ownership, accountability, and delivery focus.
