About the Role
GrowStack is looking for a senior, hands-on Engineering Leader to guide and execute the technical direction of our AI platform. You'll work across:
- AI Chat systems
- AI Agents & memory management
- Orchestration layers and workflow engines
- Frontend (Next.js/React) and backend services
- Data pipelines and analytics
Your role is product-focused, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and production-ready. This is for someone who loves building products, mentoring engineers, and making critical technical decisions not just managing tasks.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor engineers across AI, orchestration, frontend, backend, and data teams
- Define architecture, tech stack, coding standards, and CI/CD best practices
- Review code, data workflows, and system design for performance and reliability
- Ensure production-ready, scalable systems handling AI workloads, real-time APIs, and high-concurrency events
- Guide teams in frontend performance, SSR Next.js apps, and complex workflow UIs
- Establish strong observability with metrics, dashboards, logging, and alerts
- Unblock teams and resolve cross-functional dependencies
- Collaborate with founders on product vision, technical trade-offs, and execution strategy
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, speed, and empathy
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience
- Strong technical expertise in:
- Node.js, Next.js, React, TypeScript
- Frontend & backend architecture
- Data platforms, pipelines, and analytics
- AI systems, agents, and orchestration concepts
- Experience leading, mentoring, and growing engineering teams
- Working knowledge of:
- Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD, IaC, Kafka/Redis
- Secure secrets/configuration management
- Observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch)
- Ability to think in systems, architecture, and failure modes
- Track record of making fast, high-quality technical decisions
- Startup-ready: proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented

- Lead from the front, not from Jira
- Set clear direction and enforce coding/architecture standards
- Raise the bar on code quality, engineering discipline, and delivery
- Be decisive yet empathetic, balancing execution speed with quality

Work Environment
- Location: Hyderabad (In-Office only)
- Schedule: 6 days/week
