The IS&T Retail Engineering organisation is dedicated to delivering intuitive, seamless, and inspiring shopping experiences for customers worldwide. The Apple Online Store (AOS) is one of the world's largest online retail platforms, serving millions of customers globally.

We are looking for a self-driven Engineering Project Manager with experience in fast-paced software development or e-commerce environments. The ideal candidate has a strong background in managing large-scale enterprise web applications and a proven ability to deliver impactful results.

Description

We are seeking a passionate project management professional to own the full lifecycle of large-scale initiatives and key feature areas. In this role, you will lead projects from business requirements and technical design through testing, launch, and cross-functional collaboration. This role isn't just about checking tasks off a list it's about your ability to lead and deliver on every aspect of the project.

Your Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for the success of your projects, steering them from concept to launch with a strong focus on execution.

Confidently navigate multifaceted environments, building strong relationships and smoothly resolving conflicts.

Work seamlessly with engineers, product owners, and strategic partners, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.

Efficiently manage resources, monitor timelines, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.

Maintain a relentless focus on execution, ensuring timely and successful delivery while paying meticulous attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in engineering project management.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or a minimum of 6
  • years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to work with diverse audiences through clear and compelling written and verbal communication.
  • Successful track record of managing budgets and forecasting resource needs.
  • Highly effective team player who can bring engineers, product managers, and designers together to deliver results.
  • Experience successfully completing and delivering projects using Agile methodologies.
  • Industry-recognised Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master certification.
  • Hands-on experience with the design and development of highly available, distributed, and scalable enterprise systems.
  • Proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced development environment with constant change.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate the business and technical implications of decisions made by the project team.
  • Strong facilitation and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and lead project teams to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
