Engineering Project Manager
(Civil / Structural / MEP Coordination)
About the Role
We are looking for a project owner, not just an engineer.
As an Engineering Project Manager, you will take responsibility for turning a project idea into a fully coordinated, build-ready design. You will work across Architecture, Structural, and MEP disciplines, identify challenges early, and drive teams toward fast, efficient project delivery.
Your role sits at the intersection of engineering, coordination, and project execution. You will ensure that designs are technically sound, materials are properly planned, and procurement aligns with project timelines.
Your job is to ensure that every engineering decision moves the project closer to successful construction on time, technically sound, and economically viable.
What You Will Do1. Project Ownership
- Take responsibility for the design phase of projects from concept to construction drawings
- Understand the complete project scope, constraints, and deliverables
- Drive projects toward design completion within committed timelines
- Identify technical risks and execution hurdles early
2. Design Coordination
- Coordinate between Architecture, Structural, and MEP teams
- Ensure all drawings are technically aligned and clash-free
- Review drawings for constructability and practical execution
- Ensure designs are ready for construction without ambiguity
3. Drawing Management & Transmittals
- Manage the release and tracking of all project drawings
- Issue formal drawing transmittals to internal teams, vendors, and site teams
- Maintain version control and drawing registers
- Ensure latest drawings are always available to execution teams
- Track design revisions and ensure implementation across teams
4. Engineering BOM & Procurement Coordination
- Review and validate Bill of Materials (BOM) generated from design drawings
- Ensure BOM accuracy before procurement initiation
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure materials match design intent
- Verify technical specifications of purchased materials
5. Purchase Review & Approval
- Review purchase requests related to project engineering scope
- Validate materials against approved drawings and BOM
- Provide technical sign-off for procurement
- Ensure materials purchased meet design requirements and project standards
- Maintain visibility on material costs and project budget impact
6. Problem Solving & Execution Readiness
- Identify design conflicts, technical risks, and execution challenges
- Propose practical engineering solutions
- Ensure designs are fully constructible before site execution
7. Project Visibility
- Track design deliverables, procurement readiness, and project milestones
- Maintain visibility on cost implications of engineering decisions
- Support project profitability through smart engineering decisions
What We're Looking For
We are not looking for someone who just follows drawings.
We want someone who thinks like a project owner.
You might be a great fit if you:
- Have 38 years experience in civil / construction engineering
- Can read and interpret complete construction drawings
- Understand Architecture, Structural, and MEP coordination
- Have exposure to BOM preparation and material planning
- Can review procurement requests from a technical perspective
- Naturally identify problems early and solve them proactively
- Take ownership instead of waiting for instructions
