Position Summary
We are hiring for an Engineering Manager to lead cross-functional software development teams in building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems. This role provides technical leadership, architectural guidance, and strategic direction while collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor engineering teams across backend development, QA, and delivery functions.
- Define and communicate technical strategy, architecture standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX teams, and stakeholders to deliver business-aligned solutions.
- Design, develop, and review backend systems using Python, Django, and related technologies.
- Guide cloud-based application deployment and scaling on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ensure system performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated senior-level experience in software development and technical leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in Python, Django, REST APIs, and backend architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of databases, microservices, containerization, and API integrations.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver complex projects.
Nice to Have
- Experience in enterprise integration technologies and messaging systems.
- Background in EdTech or large-scale digital platforms.
- Relevant technical or project management certifications.
