Engineering Manager-Windows Engineering

WHAT YOU WILL DO DAY-TO-DAY:

You will lead a team of engineers to design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems based on Windows technologies. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, translating business needs into technical projects, setting realistic timelines and priorities, and owning complete project delivery. You will also engage in engineering project work and provide direction to enhance the overall configurability, observability, supportability, and reliability of the firm's technology environment. Furthermore, you will upgrade and/or redesign existing

infrastructure to improve performance and stability. As a techno- functional leader, you will hire, mentor, and develop engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and technical rigor.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The ideal candidate should hold-

Basic qualifications:

A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science and engineering or a related technical discipline, with at least 8 years of experience working on and managing Windows technologies

Good understanding of Windows fundamentals and extensive experience with more than one of the following technologies: Active Directory, ADFS, Azure AD/Entra ID, MS Exchange/EXO,

SCCM, SCOM, Hyper-V/S2D, VMware, Kubernetes or other virtualization and container management platforms, Failover Clustering, SQL Server, etc.

Experience with the design and end-to-end implementation of performant, reliable, and secure systems, along with advanced troubleshooting skills and experience with diagnostic/tracing tools

like ETW, Procmon, WinDbg, Wireshark, etc.

Exposure to PowerShell and experience with modern configuration management and development tools (e.g., Git, continuous integration systems)

Preferred qualifications:

Proven track record of technical leadership and managing technology teams for over 3 years

Experience handling escalations from Helpdesk, NOC, and other business groups, as well as proactively identifying and resolving issues in the production environment within the finance industry
